HighPoint Fellowship

History

We’re not the kind of people who spend a lot of time looking back. But sometimes it’s a good idea to see where you’ve come from, so you can appreciate where God is taking you.

HighPoint Fellowship started with just 5 families back in 1997. They met in the Cedar Park Library each Sunday night and prayed for God’s guidance in starting a new church. Their desire was to plant a church where hurting people would be loved and accepted and helped to grow and heal. Within a short time, the church grew with the addition of several families and a new space was needed.

In 1998, the church moved to 13441 Lime Creek Road. Later that year, the services were moved from Sunday evenings to Sunday mornings. In 1999, Randy & Karen Fenter came to HighPoint and brought their vision & energy. By 2003, the church had again outgrown its facilities. Land had been purchased to build a building, but it wouldn’t be ready for occupancy until 2005. The church moved to temporary facilities on Highway 620 while the building was completed.

…it’s clear that this is a God movement.

In March 2005, our new building was completed and we moved in. Immediately God brought more people than we could have imagined to our church family. And it hasn’t stopped. We’re praising God for the growth we’ve seen.

As we look back over the history of HighPoint, it’s clear that this is a God movement. None of us are smart enough or wise enough to have done what God has done. The glory is God’s. May He continue to guide us and bless us as HighPoint faces the future.
