This ministry (also known as “FATS”, for “Family Assistance Team”) provides help in times of great need. HighPoint members and regular attendees, as well as people in our community can apply for short-term financial assistance to help in times of need. While we give priority to requests from members and regular attendees, we consider requests from others when possible. We are able to provide short-term assistance. Although we want to help anyone who asks, we cannot provide long-term assistance. Also, we do not help with credit card, tax, or legal expenses.
Steps to Applying for Financial Assistance
By carefully following the steps outlined below, you will help us complete your application process.
- Download and Complete the Family Assistance Application.
Completed applications go in the Family Assistance box located near the main entrance doors in the church lobby.The church office is not involved in this process. DO NOT GIVE YOUR FORM TO THE CHURCH OFFICE STAFF.

The forms will routinely be picked up on Wednesdays and Sundays by the Family Assistance Team. A decision will be made on your request and you will be contacted within 3 business days of the next pick-up day.
If you are in crisis and need a more immediate response, email fats@hpf.org and let them know your application has been put in the box. You will be contacted within 24 hours.
- Meeting With FATS Team
A FATS team member will contact you to schedule a meeting with members of the FATS Team. The committee is made up of HighPoint members who are compassionate and wise about financial difficulties. - Notification
Once your situation has been evaluated you will be notified on how FATS will be able to assist you.
