Pastoral Succession

The purpose of this page is to support our Highpoint family with information as we conduct the search for our next Senior Pastor.  You are important to us, and we know that this is a process that will touch many of you emotionally over the coming months.  This page will be updated as decisions are made, and will be available so that the process is as open as possible.  While certain details will not be made publicly available, you will have forums and opportunities to ask questions and to provide feedback as you feel lead to do so.  The Pastoral Succession team has been assembled to do some of the initial work that is needed by our Board of Trustees.  This team is responsible for creating the job description, posting the job in various locations, doing initial reviews, doing initial interviews, and narrowing the candidates for the Board of Trustees.  The final decision will be made by our Board of Trustees.

We would be honored if you would pray during this process for the Pastoral Succession team, the Board of Trustees, for the candidates applying, for our church as a whole, and for Randy and Karen Fenter as they move into the next phase of their lives in ministry!

So far the team has a lot of resumes to go through! They’ve begun sorting them and are preparing the necessary follow-ups for the candidates who match the basic job requirements.  They are excited by many of the candidates and are continually improving the interview processes to bring out the best of the best.  More to come!
